Short Information XEHK-AM is a radio station located in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. Transmits in the 960 kHz band amplitude modulation with 5,000 watts of power diurnal. The radio is currently known as La Voz de Guadalajara.It began in 1940 being the eighth radio station in Mexico. Scheduled since the early 50’s by Luis Carlos Fregoso station was the first place rating in Guadalajara for more than 30 years, becoming a phenomenon of national radio, keeping the same names and identifications since. Being the first station to broadcast live a baseball game, the first in northern music playing in Guadalajara and the first English play music on AM, has become the station’s tradition in the city being preferred for several generations . It has maintained since the early 60’s the same identifications, same that have become a common sound in the history of the city.

It is located in western Mexico, the center of Jalisco, in the geographical area known as Valle de Atemajac. The city‘s economy is based on industry, especially information technology with a large number of international companies with manufacturing facilities in the Guadalajara metropolitan area. It also features local products such as shoes, textiles and food processing industries. Guadalajara is an important cultural center of Mexico, considered by most to be the home of mariachi and hosts several major cultural events such as the International Film Festival of Guadalajara and the Guadalajara International Book Fair and world-renowned events that attract international crowds. It is also the home of Club Deportivo Guadalajara, one of the most popular soccer teams in Mexico. Guadalajara was named the American Capital of Culture in 2005. Guadalajara was also hosting the 2011 Pan American Games.

La Villa de Guadalajara was founded on January 5, 1532 by Cristóbal de Oñate and 42 neighbors. However after three failed attempts of the foundation, was until Doña Beatriz Hernandez urged the community not to become moving and keep this site were his words .: “People here we were, the King is my rooster and here we were, by hook or by crook “finally materializing the settlement of the city on 14 February 1542. Guadalajara played an important role during the Independence of Mexico, as it was in this city where the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla he declared the abolition of slavery. After the war of independence, and the proclamation of free and sovereign state of Jalisco, Guadalajara became the state capital.

Guadalajara was growing rapidly in sectors such as industry, tourism and services.
